CJ Rivard

CJ Rivard CJ has been the General Manager of the Colonial Inn for the past 8 years, & the Edgartown Residence Club since it's inception.

CJ was raised in Manassas, Virginia and is a graduate of the Univ. of Va. She has been a hospitality professional for over 20 years, and an Edgartown resident for the past 16. Sales and marketing has been her passion throughout her career, and she is enjoying the latest evolution of marketing in social media.

CJ met her husband, Jim, when she moved to Martha's Vineyard in 1993. In her "off time" she enjoys her other full-time job as a mother of 4. Her children Michaela (12), Jared (10), Daniel (7), and Jamie (4) are her life's biggest joy and challenge. Since the birth of their youngest daughter, Jamie (who has Down Syndrome), CJ has also pursued an interest in special needs education and advocacy.

Lane Gregory

Lane GregoryLane Gregory made her way ashore on Martha's Vineyard in 1997, after 23 years as a city girl in Boston. Happily leaving behind escalating rents and the grime, noise, and chaos of "the big dig", she found a welcome change in the island's clean air, miles of pristine coastline, and saner pace of life. However, having spent her adult life working alone as a freelance illustrator, she realized the only way to make new friends in a new home was to join the local workforce. After several enjoyable stints at island retail establishments and three delightful summers working in the box office of the Vineyard Playhouse, she found she was happiest in the hospitality business.

Now manager of the Edgartown Residence Club, the fractional ownership, luxury suites at the Colonial Inn, she says, "Moving to the Vineyard was one of the best things I've ever done. Working with the wonderful people here has added another dimension to my professional and personal lives, and managing the ERC and getting to know the owners has given me the surprise bonus of a caring and warm extended family. What more could anyone ask for?"

Michael Wilson

Michael Wilson was born and raised in Braintree, Massachusetts. After a brief tour of duty in the US Army Military Police Corps, followed such varied careers as carpentry, transmission repair, restaurant management and finally Inn-keeping, which he loves most. Michael has been Innkeeping at the Colonial Inn for the past six years.

Michael married his summer camp sweetheart, Lea, in 1990 and after 17 years of difficulty, they were blessed with Miss Katerina in December of 2007. With nearly two decades by themselves, this Littlest Friend changes everything, and many of Michael's articles now take the new perspective of exploration with a toddler!

He and his family reside on Martha's Vineyard year round

Rick Conti

Rick and his wife Jane have been owners at the Edgartown Residence Club since its inception in 2006. While Edgartown feels like home, they actually reside in and must occasionally return to their mainland home in Chelmsford, MA. Rick and Jane are the blessed parents of a son and two daughters. Truth be told, it was those two girls who charmed their parents into the ERC. No one has regretted it since.

Rick, whose driving passion is following Jesus, spent most of his working life as a software engineer. Of late, however, he has taken quill in hand full time to concentrate on writing. Over the past 15 years, he has written and performed in dozens of short sketches and films for churches and other non-profits. Some of those can be seen on his web site. More recently, he has taken on the quixotic quest of becoming a screenwriter.

Joanne Sardini

Joanne has worn many hats at the Colonial Inn and Edgartown Residence Club over the past 7 years and is currently our Director of Sales and Owner Services for both properties. Joanne came to the Vineyard in 1999 for the summer, fell in love with the Island, then fell in love with the man and never left. Don't ask if she's Irish - she's not, she's Scottish (think Shrek or Mrs Doubtfire, not Bono or Liam Neeson). She and her husband Paul love to cook and love to eat (Paul is a chef and taught her everything she knows in the kitchen but don't tell him she admitted it!). Joanne enjoys exploring the Island on her days off and finding fun ways to spend time without spending money. This is so that she can go to all the wonderful restaurants on the Vineyard and indulge.

Look for lots of posts on lots of different subjects from Joanne - variety is the spice of this Scottish Lassie's life!
